My eyes were sore, darting from one title to the next, quickly communicating to my mind the long list of literature I’d have to come back and explore on my next trip to the bookstore. The escalator carried me higher and toward deeper thought as to why I was actually interested in all of these books. Do I really have time for all this fascination with (well, let’s face it) EVERYTHING???
Consumer versus producer. How much, like what specific percentage of my time, do I want to dedicate toward consuming things and how does that weigh in the total ratio compared to things in which I produce?
I got to the top of the floor before I finished my thought and - true to form- became distracted by yet another interesting thing that got caught in my line of vision.
“If I want to put the photos into an email, should I insert or attach?”

So grandma’s back from the hospital and doing fabulous. (thank goodness, b/c she said the coffee there really sucked.)
She will, however, take a couple weeks to recover before getting back to video chat and other such things.

“The five mascots are officially called the Fuwa. They are Beibei, the fish; Jingjing, the panda; Huanhuan, the Olympic flame; Yingying, the Tibetan antelope; and Nini, the swallow. The first syllables from their two-syllable names form a line that reads ‘Beijing Huanying Ni’, or in English – ‘Welcome to Beijing’. The mascot’s colours were chosen in line with the colours of the Olympic rings.
In the ancient culture of China, there is a great tradition of spreading blessings through signs and symbols. Each of the mascots symbolises a different blessing and will honour this ancient tradition by bringing their blessings to the children of the world. Beibei represents the blessing of prosperity, Jingjing the blessing of happiness, Huanhuan the blessing of passion, Yingying the blessing of health and Nini the blessing of good luck.”

This is a post from one of my other blogs, the one i wrote w/a friend when i took sabbatical from this blog. (yeah, ur happy u didnt read it. trust me.)
So this whole move to switch hosting got me thinking of a brilliant way to consolidate my online presence, which is just another fancy-pants word to encompass the following: websites, blogs, postings, articles, project sites, client work, social networks and things other ppl have posted about me & my work.
Still awaiting that brilliant idea…

In keeping with this week’s unintentional (though somehow unavoidable) theme of regression to my childhood… here is a super awesome pop-up book of modern architecture, including faves: Le Corbusier & Santiago Calatrava.
Check it out, Kris- I linked ALL my adjectives. :b
